Your Story

Hopefully you have read Our Story and all that God is doing at NEHBC, but we only have our story because of your story. We exist only to help you become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ in order that you and your story can bring glory to God. So, the real question is...what is your story? How does it end? Your story can go one of two ways. The Bible helps us to know our stories.

All of our stories start the same….

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We all have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin. We are all completely cut-off from the perfect, holy God.

All of our stories have an ending….

Romans 6:23a For The wages of sin is death...

Sin has an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death which is a result of sin. But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity.

The ending of all of our stories can be changed by a choice…

Romans 6:23b ...But the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Salvation is a free gift from God to you.

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

When Jesus died on the cross, He paid all of sin's penalty–once and for all. His ultimate act of love gives you the opportunity to live in a relationship with Him for all of eternity. The only condition is that you believe in Him and what He has done for you.

Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9,10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

So how does your story end? Did you change the ending of your story today? Did you admit and recognize your sin? Did you confess Jesus Christ as Lord of your life?

We want to know if you have chosen to change the ending to your story. We want to help answer any questions you have about your story. If you have given control of your life to Jesus Christ and choose to follow Him, please tell us and let us rejoice with you and encourage you.
