Worship

Sunday Morning Worship

We gather as a church family on Sunday mornings for worship at 9:00am and 10:30am. Both services offer identical worship music and expositional sermons by our senior pastor. In addition to worship, there are LifeGroups for adults and Sunday school for children (birth-5th grade) at both hours. Our teenagers meet together at 9:00am and worship with their families at 10:30am. Children age 4 and older attend one hour of worship with their family and one hour of Sunday school.

Midweek Worship

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE MIDWEEK WORSHIP SERVICE?

The purpose of the midweek worship service is to provide an opportunity for God's people to gather midway between our main worship services on Sundays in order to connect corporately with God and each other. Many find this additional corporate worship service very helpful to the consistency and perseverance of their walk with the Lord over the course of the week.

WHAT IS THE CULTURE OF THE MIDWEEK WORSHIP SERVICE?

The culture of midweek worship is a less formal, less intense corporate gathering during which we sing, pray, hear personal testimony about the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord, and learn during a short time of Bible teaching.

The format usually includes 15 minutes of singing, a brief personal testimony, 15-20 minutes of prayer in groups of 5-10 people in which those who want to pray out loud do so, and 20 minutes of teaching.

The teaching time has great variety. On any given night, Pastor Nathan might be teaching or you might hear teaching from one of our Associate Pastors. The teaching time might be an expository message, very practical teaching on parenting, marriage, or learning how to forgive, or it might be a biblical perspective on a big current event in our nation or world.

This blend of singing, praying, hearing a personal testimony of God's goodness, and teaching from God's Word recalibrates our minds and hearts around the Lord and exhorts us to persevere in the faith over the course of the week.

Note: Midweek worship takes place each year from the first Wednesday following the start of school each January, until the Wednesday on the week before Thanksgiving.
