Shepherding - Teen Ministry

Serve Through

Our purpose at NEHBC is to make disciples. These ministries are on the front lines of intentional and deliberate disciple - making among various age groups and seasons of life.

TEEN MINISTRY

The intent of the Student Ministry of NEHBC is to proclaim the Gospel, encourage community, and pursue holiness. This is not possible without the support of our committed volunteers who nurture gospel proclomation, biblical community, and the pursuit of holiness by building relationships with students through any of the following roles:

sunday morning

lifegroup teacher

Teen LifeGroup Teachers nurture students development of a biblical worldview through teaching various topics relative to personal holiness. Topics include: spiritual disciplines, defining the Gospel, missions and missionaries, doctrine, world religions, and social issues in light of the Gospel. A Teen LifeGroup Teacher is responsible for teaching their LifeGroup each week, August 20th through May 20th.

lifegroup facilitator

Teen LifeGroup Facilitators foster the development of biblical community by engaging students relationships with one another through Sunday morning activities and regular socials off campus. Besides smaller regular fellowships throughout the year, two additional key socials are an Evangelism Outreach and a Weekend Getaway. At times the Facilitator will be asked to teach in the absence of the primary LifeGroup Teacher.

wednesday night

Stumin Worship team

Each Wednesday students join together to worship through music, prayer, song, and response time. There is a need for musicians (adults and students) who can play the piano, electric guitar or drums. The StuMin Worship Team meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month to practice.

stumin wednesday volunteer

Each Wednesday 70-80 teenagers join together for a midweek student oriented worship service. Due to the nature of the Student Ministry service, volunteers will be scheduled to rotate between check-in, small groups facilitator, and praying with students during the response time. This gives volunteers the opportunity to lead students to faith and encourage students to grow in their faith.
